A full decommissioning of laboratories being vacated by departments or Principal Investigators (PI) must be completed to prevent exposing others to unnecessary hazards. It is the responsibility of the Department, the Principal Investigator, and EHS to ensure that all biological, chemical and radiological waste items are appropriately managed and disposed.
