Salute

Environmental Health and Safety is pleased to announce the launch of Salute, a new system that allows principal investigators, lab managers, and other staff to manage their lab safety needs in a single, easy-to-use web portal. EHS designed and developed Salute based on decades of experience helping the Weill Cornell Medicine community foster a culture of safety.

Salute is a centralized location for principal investigators and their delegates to manage their chemical inventories, check lab safety training status for their employees, review and address lab inspection findings, submit waste collection requests, and more.

How To:

Assign a delegate

Principal investigators can assign an employee (or employees) within their lab to manage all of their and their lab’s safety information within Salute on their behalf. To assign a delegate:

  1. Log in to Salute
  2. In the bottom left corner of the screen, click on your name
  3. Select Settings from the pop-up menu
  4. Click + Safety Coordinator and search for them by name
